A Comprehensive Range of Therapies
Facing a diagnosis of infertility can be extremely frustrating and stressful. Dr. Janelle Dorsett and our talented staff of professionals have extensive experience helping our patients work through the emotions that accompany fertility treatment. We have earned a reputation for our warm, patient-focused care, clinical excellence, and state-of-the-art technology.
A comprehensive range of fertility treatments is available on-site, including:
- In vitro fertilization (IVF): This common treatment for infertility is often used when other techniques have failed to result in conception. During the procedure, sperm cells fertilize the egg cells in an incubator. Once fertilized, the zygote is placed in the mother's uterus with the hope of establishing pregnancy.
- Artificial insemination: This process relies on a concentrated sperm sample or from a carefully screened donor, and close monitoring of the patient to determine the best time for attempting conception.
- Induction of ovulation: If a woman does not have enough of the follicles that are essential to successful conception, medications may be used to induce ovulation. Often used in conjunction with artificial insemination, ovulation induction can greatly increase the chances of a woman becoming pregnant.
- Tubal reversal: Women who have previously had their fallopian tubes “tied” as a means of preventing further pregnancy may choose to reverse the procedure. Tubal reversal requires a surgical procedure, and if the woman has no other outstanding fertility issues, tubal reversals are a very successful way to achieve pregnancy.
Additional available services include gestational surrogacy services, egg donation services, infertility testing for men, and sperm cryopreservation.
